Kerosene has been used for many years as a blending agent during extreme cold weather in the northern tier of the US. In recent years winter additves have dramatically reduced the need for kerosene. However, we continue to blend ultra low sulfur kerosene (ULSK) along with the winter additives during periods of extreme cold. The result is a diesel fuel product that works no matter what the weather.
